SpecializedĮven many of Specialized’s popular e-bike models are now steeply discounted.Īmong Specialized’s e-mountain models, a Turbo Levo SL Comp is $2,500 off and now selling for $4,500, while the Turbo Kenevo SL Expert is currently $3,300 off and selling for $7,700. The Turbo Como SL 4.0 is $1,500 off and now selling for $2,000. Initially confined to lower-priced and consumer-direct brands (like Rad Power and Aventon), price drops soon rolled to bikes like REI’s Co-op house brand, and then to several mainstream e-bike brands. There are also e-bikes-a category that enjoyed rapid growth and popularity-on sale.ĭiscount prices on e-bikes started popping up in the early fall, right after the summer riding season tapered down. Remember during the pandemic, you would look at a bike one day and note the price, but then a few days later that same bike was suddenly a few hundred (or thousand) dollars more expensive? The opposite of that is happening now. Rollbacks are sneaky because brands typically make them quietly. One example is SCOR, which quickly adjusted pricing on its new 2030 soon after launch. Soon after the launch of its brand new 2030, SCOR "adjusted" its MSRP’s lower in response to the deep discounting from other brands. Yeti’s SB160 T2, for example, is currently over $1,500 off-selling for $6,320 instead of its usual $7,900. Boutique brands, which are often insulated from ebbs in demand, are now forced to put bikes on sale. And if you’re not shopping for a bike, lots and lots of other products are also on sale at Competitive.Īs evidenced by the brands on sale at Competitive, it is not just the heavy hitters with bikes on sale. It’s a bike that Specialized or Trek would sell for well over five figures, but Canyon’s regular MSRP is $7,000-it is now $400 off.Ĭompetitive Cyclist has nearly 230 bikes on sale-Santa Cruz, Pivot, Cervelo, Yeti, Ibis, Norco, Specialized, and more-discounted by 20, 30, or even 40 percent. Take this Ultimate CF SLX 9 Di2: Carbon frame, Shimano Dura-Ace Di2-with a power meter-carbon rims, and a carbon cockpit (including carbon-railed saddle). And this is crazy because Canyon bikes already are freaking amazing deals. Here’s a list of almost 40 Canyon models on sale. This Canyon is already thousands of dollars less than a similar Trek or Specialized, and now it’s an additional $400 off. And over at Giant, 100 bikes are on sale-Plus, you get a free helmet or accessory with an on-sale bike purchase. Always wanted a Trek? It has over 50 models on sale. (And that’s just the bikes and frames-Specialized has about 600 other items on sale, too.)Ĭannondale fan? Well, it has over 100 models on sale. Models on sale include some of Specialized’s best-performing and most expensive bikes: Tarmacs, Epic, Crux, and the fabulous Aethos. Specialized’s site shows nearly 200 models on sale-and Specialized isn’t just blowing out its low-end bikes. Look at almost any brand’s site and major retailers like Competitive Cyclist, and you will likely find lots of bikes and frames on sale. Kona’s sale and a similar one by GT on BMX bikes are extreme examples of discounting happening across the cycling market. But it’s also sad because no brand gives away $4,000 bikes for free unless it faces serious challenges. This deal is amazing and almost unprecedented. Kona makes excellent mountain bikes the Process line is the heart of its performance lineup. It’s a tool that can help you to really improve your carp fishing, or elements of it at least. You could get this bike for free from Kona. It certainly isn’t cheating – far from it. Having been a little sceptical about the merits of using a sonar, I was hugely impressed with the Deeper Pro Plus. I’m already saving up to buy one of my own though. I went on to use it another half-dozen times, exploring several swims on a couple of different venues, until I had to return it, begrudgingly. However, there is an orange cover available, which features an LED light too. The only slight drawbacks were losing the signal occasionally when the water was particularly choppy, and also losing sight of the black unit. However, for those who want to use it as such, I’m told by some boat-angler friends that it works a treat.įor me, though, in terms of depths and working out the make-up of the lakebed, the Deeper Pro Plus immediately impressed, and has done so ever since. I didn’t use the fish finder facility, as I consider watercraft the biggest skill in carp fishing and I prefer to rely on my own ability in this respect.
